This story was updated with new products and information in October 2023.

True auto enthusiasts know that Amazon is not the ideal place to shop for hard car parts. Still, when it comes to things like car cleaning products, tools, and shop gear, the retail giant is a great source for bargains and deals you can't get anywhere else.

That especially goes for Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon's two-day fall shopping extravaganza. Just in time to start chipping away at your holiday gift list, this year's Prime Big Deal Days event falls on October 10–11, and there's a slew of great deals to be had on the products and gear car nuts crave.

The Gear Team does hands-on tests of popular products, tools, and car gear in a variety of categories, pitting popular, bestselling, and even brand-new products against the competition in real-world testing and letting our readers know which ones are the best, which will get the job done, and which ones to avoid.

We've tested everything from tools and shop gear to car-cleaning products and compiled the winners and top performers from each test on our Tested & Trusted page, where readers can find all our Best Overall winners and top gear picks in one place.

With Prime Big Deal Days coming up, a ton of these Tested & Trusted winners are on sale. If the items you want aren't on sale now, be sure to check Amazon on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 10 and 11. Remember, to take advantage of Prime Big Deal Days you must be a Prime member. Sign up or start a free trial.

Check out these great deals below on products, gear, and tools we trust and recommend.

Our pick for Best Budget Home EV Charger, this is an impressive Wi-Fi-connected entry at a price hundreds of dollars less than the competition. The 11.5-kW-output capability is at the high end, and short of a couple of features, such as using a specific vehicle to estimate the miles or battery percentage gained, the Emporia has just about everything, including detailed electricity pricing using your actual utility plan.

If we were shopping for a portable tire inflator to keep in our car, we'd pick the Avid Power Cordless. With a faster inflation time than the competition, plus the battery's USB port for charging phones and such, our choice for Best Overall Tire Inflator turned out to be a pretty easy call.

While we didn't put a bunch of sim racing setups head to head (yet), this wheel-and-pedal combo from Logitech is highly recommended for both beginners and experienced racers. At $100 off, this is a marvelous deal (and it might go even lower come Prime Day).

How to Build a Killer Sim Racing Setup

For the best car child booster seat, the Good Housekeeping Institute found the high-backed Monterey XT achieves a more custom fit than other options. You can also remove the back completely for kids who don’t require the added support. The expanded weight and height means it can safely accommodate children up to 120 pounds and 63 inches tall, with a wide comfortable seat and two retractable cupholders. While the wider seat can be a blessing, it means less space for others in the back seat.

With seemingly hundreds of portable jump starters on the market, it can be tempting to just grab one of the cheapest and hope for the best. Instead, the Gear Team chose the Clore Jump-N-Carry as our Best Overall Portable Jump Starter. In our testing, the American-made jumper boasts enough power to start just about any vehicle, is compact enough to store in your trunk, and features the specs you need to jump a vehicle anywhere, anytime.

While techs and mechanics need a fully functional, plug-in diagnostic tool, the average car lover can get by with an affordable Bluetooth scanner. When we set out to find the Best OBD-II Scanner, the Gear Team chose the BlueDriver as our Best Overall, noting its tile-style interface was exceptionally easy to use, and we had no issues finding codes, tests, and other data.

We chose the Dustbuster as our Best Overall Car Vacuum for its successful blend of price, performance, and household versatility. For big, chunky messes, this is the car vacuum you'll want.

We tried a bunch of 'em, and the Rain-X Latitude Water Repellency was our pick for the Best Wiper Blade. The hydrophobic coating on the blades works very well and improved visibility immediately, and it was quiet and left no streaks. Plus, the price point is attractive—especially on Prime Day.

The Ancel BD310 is our choice as the Best Display OBD-II Scanner for Home Use. We loved the scanner's happy medium between corded and Bluetooth capabilities and felt the app's interface was excellent. The BD310 was quick to connect and display codes, and it provided many of the perks of expensive scanners while staying affordable. You can use it with just the corded interface, or connect it via Bluetooth and use the free app to access more data, diagnostic resources, and performance testing.

For those of us who want a quick, cheap spray to clean our car's interior, Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer does the trick. The cleaner works decently—passing our butter test—and left behind neither streaks nor residue. It's not as strong as other cleaners on this list, and it has a slight scent. But it does feature a protecting agent to keep surfaces looking clean longer. For a cheap, quick interior cleaner, this is the best budget choice.

FWIW, Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer also ranked as the runner-up in our Best Screen Cleaner test. So for a budget-friendly, effective screen cleaner, Meguiar's is also the way to go, in our opinion.

Adam's Polishes Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner is our choice for Best Overall Car Carpet Cleaner. It's effective against multiple types of stains, budget-friendly, and easy to use. For our test, it cleaned up both mud and wine stains with ease, leaving behind little to no residue. It wasn't horribly messy to use and dried quite quickly. Our team agreed that the fruity scent was pleasant and far better than some of the other cleaners' smells. For an effective, excellent carpet cleaner for your car, this is the one to get.

Our favorite Waterless Car Wash product not only cleans efficiently but leaves a smooth, shiny, just-waxed look. The scent is pleasant as well. This 32-ounce bottle should go a long way on your car, truck, RV, boat, motorcycle, side-by-side, et al.

For cheaper wipers that still perform, the Trico Flex did very well during our testing of the Best Wiper Blades. We didn't see any streaking or chattering, and installation was quite easy. Flex wiper blades lack any sort of locking clasp, but we didn't notice any looseness during operation. For the price, you're getting a solid, no-frills wiper blade that'll adequately remove water from your windshield.

If you're looking for a wet/dry vacuum for a job site or other large-mess areas, Craftsman's option was our pick for Best Shop Vasc for Large Messes. The 16-gallon behemoth was unstoppable, guzzling everything in its path. The vacuum rolls around nicely, and a unique hose design with more flexible sections on each end allows for superior usability. Attachments include a nice squeegee-like wet nozzle to aid in liquid pickups.

The one drawback is storing this beast, but Craftsman does offer a 12-gallon option. And if you need something larger, a 20-gallon vacuum exists, too.

Unless your vehicle is a military-grade tank, you'd be hard-pressed to find a car in your fleet that the Big Red can't lift. It was one of the Best Floor Jacks we tested. It has an impressive weight capacity of up to 8000 pounds, and that shows with its heavy-duty steel frame and reinforced lift arm. With a low, low height of 3.8 inches on its lowest setting and a max lift height of 20.5 inches, the lifting range is versatile enough for a variety of cars and strong enough to handle the heaviest of the lot.

For a light-duty power inverter that does a little bit of everything, the SuperOne 150W is our pick. Featuring two USB, one AC, and two cigarette lighter–style ports, there's room for a host of different gadgets. The cupholder design is nice, but only if you have the room to spare (a road-trip beverage is the priority, right?). It's rated for 150 watts, which might not sound like a whole lot but is enough for most electronic devices necessary for a pleasant family road trip.

Who would've thought a pair of Prada sunglasses would make it to our Favorite Driving Sunglasses list? We were pleasantly surprised by the performance and comfort of these shades, and it was one of our most-worn pairs during testing.

When we tested a slew of Mechanic's Creepers, we found the versatility of the Z-Creeper to be unmatched, and its comfort was up there with the best. It also transforms into both an upright chair and a stool—meaning you'll have mobility working under or alongside any vehicle.

When we tested the Best Car Ramps for 2023, we chose the RhinoRamp Max as the best for trucks thanks to the sturdy material, supreme grip, and 17-inch-wide base. The ramps nest and stack out of the way too.

Our Scott Olman says if you're still stacking your extra tires on the garage floor, you're nuts. Get them off the ground and out of the way with one of these adjustable racks. They're perfect for storing sets of winter or performance tires when you're not using them.
